as hopeless as this sounds--i've heard a squirrel can't be beat, if he wants to live in your attic, he will..--i tried to plug a hole under one of my attic roof eaves this afternoon.......if i'm lucky, it'll keep the squirrel out for a week or so!!

this is how i enter my attic--through a lift-off panel in the ceiling of my master bedroom closet...
